There is no doubt that DC is one of the best teams in WPL, having made it to two consecutive finals. And that is the reason why, the team has more-or-less, retained their entire squad for WPL 2024 — barring four players. When the WPL 2025 Auction takes place in Bengaluru on Sunday, the Meg Lanning-led team would be looking for replacements for the likes of Poonam Yadav, Laura Harris, Aparna Mondal, Ashwani Kumar.

DC in WPL 2023 & 2024
In the eight matches played in the first season, DC managed to win six matches out of 8, and finished first in the points table. In the final, DC met MI for the trophy, but lost with the narrowest margins. After scoring 131/9, DC put up a spirited effort to let MI cross the finish line, with only three balls to spare.
In the 2024 season, it was somewhat of a repeat of the previous year. Once again, they won six from their eight matches. But this time around, their nemesis in the final was RCB, who chased down the target of 114 in 19.3 overs, again.

DC Purse and Slots Left for WPL Auction 2025
Having retained most of their core for WPL 2025, DC wouldn’t have much to participate in — at the WPL Auction. They have a purse of INR 2.5 Cr left and four slots left to be filled, one of which can be an overseas player.
