The turning point of the match came when Sophie Molineux claimed three pivotal wickets in a single over, dismissing Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Alice Capsey. Molineux’s remarkable feat propelled RCB to victory and earned her the title of Player of the Match for the WPL Final.
Ellyse Perry, emerged as the top run-scorer in the WPL 2024, clinching the coveted orange cap with an impressive total of 341 runs across nine matches. Perry’s consistent performance, marked by an outstanding average of 68.2, solidified her position as a key player in RCB’s title-winning campaign.
Meanwhile, Shreyanka Patil secured the prestigious purple cap by claiming the highest number of wickets in the tournament. Patil’s standout performance included a crucial 4-wicket haul in the final match, pivotal in Royal Challengers Bangalore’s victorious journey.
Shafali Verma, showcased her power-hitting prowess by smashing the most number of sixes in the tournament, totalling 20 sixes in nine matches. Additionally, Georgia Wareham received the award for the highest strike rate throughout the season.
