Delhi Capitals on Sunday won the toss and elected to bat first in the WPL 2024 final. Skipper Meg Lanning and Shafali Verma opened the innings for last year’s runners up. While Lanning started cautiously and looked to get herself in, Shafali started going hammer and tongs right from the start.

Shafali looked to take on the RCB bowlers and gave Delhi Capitals a fantastic start. Shafali raced to 44 runs off 27 balls courtesy of two 4s and 3 huge sixes as RCB failed to stem the flow of runs.
