The 19-year-old opener put on a display of relentless power hitting as she helped the Delhi Capitals canter to a 10-wicket win. Described as one of the best innings by captain Meg Lanning, Shafali smashed 76 off just 28 balls, helping DC chase down 106 in just 7.1 overs. Shafali smoked five sixes and 10 fours in her 28-ball 76 not out. For Shafali, this was her second fifty in four matches in the inaugural WPL. In their WPL opener, Shafali looked set for a century, but got out for 84 (45 balls) while playing an away delivery.
Shafali came out firing on all cylinders, clobbering 10 fours and five sixes to produce a ruthless knock of 76 not out off 28 balls in the company of captain Meg Lanning. She took a special liking for the Gujarat bowler Ashleigh Gardner, smacking her for four fours and a six in the fourth over to collect 23 runs.

Shafali continued to attack, this time hitting Tanuja Kanwar for a couple of sixes to help Delhi knock off the majority of their target, with 87 runs coming in the powerplay.
Shafali brought up her second half-century in the WPL, from just 19 balls. She is amongst the leading run-getters in the tournament, only behind a partner and skipper Meg Lanning.
