Perry and Schutt joined the RCB team after Australia defeated the hosts South Africa on Sunday, February 26, to claim the Women’s T20 World Cup Trophy for the sixth time. Notably, Smriti Mandhana was picked by RCB as their skipper after they paid a record price for the best Indian batter at the first-ever WPL auction on February 13. RCB paid Rs 3.40 crore to acquire Smriti. With the addition of players like Perry and Schutt, RCB has assembled a star-studded team for the WPL in 2023.
