WPL 2023: Mandhana thanks RCB fans for showing support to the team despite the shaky loss, dedicates team’s win to RCB fans

With a do-or-die match against UP Warriorz, RCB players displayed their best performance with bat and ball and won the match by five wickets. The bowlers set the game up by bundling out Warriorz for just 136. Later, the batters led by Kanika Ahuja’s powerful 46 enabled RCB to get over the line without any hiccups. Mandhana was relieved with the win and thanked RCB fans for showing relentless support and love. The southpaw dedicated the team’s first win to the fans which came after five losses.

RCB need to win two more matches against Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Giants, and also hopes the other results go their way in order to qualify for the playoffs.

WPL 2023 Playoff Race: What RCB needs to do to qualify for playoffs

  • RCB have three games left against Gujarat Giants, Mumbai Indians, and UP Warriorz. First off, they need to win all these three games with big margins. Since RCB’s net run rate is -2.109, the margin of wins cannot be too less.
  • Second RCB would be hoping MI and DC win all their remaining games, as that would give them a chance to finish third as well.
  • The Mandhana-led side would also be hoping UP Warriorz loses all four matches, in order to make the playoffs.
  • RCB would also be hoping Gujarat Giants do not need to win more than one game out of the four matches remaining.
  • If RCB are tied in points with any other teams, the next run rate will come into question.
