Royal Challengers Bangalore

Smriti Mandhana: The most expensive player at the inaugural WPL auction, Mandhana is set to lead Royal Challengers Bangalore in the inaugural season. The opener had a good T20 World Cup, scoring 151 runs in four innings. The left handed batter will be expected to provide explosive start at the top of the order. 

Delhi Capitals

Shafali Verma: The Under 19 World Cup winning captain is the most sought after player in the shortest format. Despite a lean T20 World Cup, Shafali will be keen to pile run in the WPL. The opener will be tasked to score runs for DC at brisk pace and provide strong start in powerplays.

Mumbai Indians

Harmanpreet Kaur: The India Women’s team skipper will be leading the team of the franchise which has done well in the IPL. Harmanpreet, recently became the first female player ever to complete 150 T20 Internationals during the ICC T20 World Cup 2023 in South Africa.

The all-rounder, was bought for Rs 1.8 crore by Mumbai Indians. Kaur alongwith Nat Sciver-Brunt and Amelia Kerr looks to be a winning combination for MI.

The off spinner will lead the spin department of Warriorz and will have Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Sophie Ecclestone. Speaking of her experience the all-rounder has played 88 T20Is picking up 97 wickets. She has also scored 914 runs with two half-centuries.
