India and Pakistan are arch-rivals. The duo only meet in ICC and ACC tournaments. But India Cricket Team skipper Rohit Sharma has claimed that he is ready to play Test matches against Pakistan. Rohit has claimed that he isn’t concerned about anything else, and just want a good battle with the bat and ball.
“I am ready to play Test matches against Pakistan. We play with them in the ICC tournament. It will be a good contest between both teams. I am not concerned about anything else. All I want a good battle between bat and ball,” Rohit Sharma said.
The last India vs Pakistan Test match was played way back in 2007. Amidst the geo-political rivalry, the two neighbouring nations only meet in ICC tournaments. Back in 2023, India faced Pakistan in the Asia Cup and the in the ODI World Cup when the Men in Green travelled to India.

“I would love to. At the end of the day, we want to be in the contest. I think it will be a great contest between the two sides. We anyway play them in the ICC tournaments. So, it doesn’t even matter.“
“It’s pure cricket that I am looking at. I am not interested in anything else. It’s just pure cricket. A battle between bat and ball. It will be a great contest so why not.” Rohit Sharma added.
It will be a dream come true for fans who eagerly wait to see the two teams battle out against each other. India is slated to face Pakistan in the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup at New York on 9th June.
