“Don’t know exactly what happened. We are keeping a tab on the situation. We are in touch with the GCA for assistance. We are in talks with the ticketing partner to see if e-ticket can be valid,” BCCI official to InsideSport.

To note, Paytm is the official online ticketing partner of the IPL 2023. The provider gives the option to the fans to book tickets at their preferable seats and then sends the tickets to the particular location chosen by the buyer. Sometimes, the buyer also has the option to collect the tickets from the stadiums itself. However, it looks like Paytm did not sent tickets and asked all the buyers to collect it from the stadium. As a result, chaos erupted at the venue with fans expressing their anguish on social media platforms.
