The India Cricket Team will turn their entire focus on the two Test matches of the India vs South Africa series. With World Test Championship Points at stake, the BCCI Selection Committee will be keen to field the strongest team that they can find.
There are multiple agendas that need to be discussed by the BCCI Senior Selection Committee and in that, the selection of the Indian Team for the IND vs SA Series is one of the major agendas.
Not only will the Test squad to fixed, but also the ODIs, T20Is, and the India A team squad will also be finalised for the Men in Blue. It is understood that a large contingent of players will travel to the Proteas as the team has applied for Visas for 45 players.

Few of the senior players will be missing action in terms of ODIs and T20Is but in no way will the Test team be ignored. Virat Kohli has decided to take a rest from white-ball cricket in this series and the future of Rohit Sharma is also in major doubt.
But with WTC Points at stake, India will be desperate to field their strongest team and win their 2 matches in this tour. Previously India has reached the finals of WTC and has ended up being runners-up on both occasions (2021 & 2023).
Some of the senior players like Ashwin, Rahane, and Unakdat are likely to play with the India A team in their bid to build match fitness for the 2 crucial Test Matches.
