ICC World Test Championship Final – India vs New Zealand in WTC final: Virat Kohli and Co booked their ticket to Lords for the World Test Championship final after an emphatic series win against England. India beat the Three Lions by 25 runs and an innings. They will now face New Zealand in the WTC final on June 18 at Lords.

ICC World Test Championship Final: India finished at the top of the WTC standings with 520 out of 720 points. They now have 72.22 pct points. The Blackcaps, the first team to qualify for the WTC final, have 70.0 pct from five Test series.

ICC World Test Championship Final Schedule: The final of the inaugural edition of the World Test Championship will now be played out from June 18 to 22 with June 23 acting as a reserve day. The decider was originally scheduled to be held from June 10 to 14 at the Lord’s Cricket Ground. However, the schedule was pushed forward keeping in mind the proximity between the WTC final and the final of the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League — dates yet to be officially announced — and any quarantine period that players might have to go through with an eye on the coronavirus pandemic.
India become World No.1 in Test rankings
Furthermore, India surpassed New Zealand to become World No.1 in ICC Test Rankings. They are now followed by Australia at number three spot with 113 points, followed by England who are at 108 points.
