World Giants beat Asia Lions: World Giants win Legends League Cricket – Corey Anderson’s 94 set up World Giants’ 256 run total, which in the end proved to be enough as they clinched the Legends League title on Saturday. Anderson slammed 94 runs off just 43 balls that comprised 8 sixes and 7 fours at a strike rate of 218+. He was well guided by Kevin Pietersen who scored 22-ball 48. Among others, Brad Haddin chipped in with 37(16) while Darren Sammy added 38(17). Nuwan Kulasekara was the pick of the bowlers who returned with 45/3.

In response, Sanath Jayasuriya and Mohammad Yousuf got cameos, but none could kick on like Anderson and get the Lions over the finish line. The wickets fell at regular intervals throughout the innings. Albie Morkel chipped in with a three-wicket haul, while Panesar struck twice to help the Giants clinch a 25-run win.
