To note, the official streaming partner for WC, Disney+ Hotstar has introduced a new MaxView vertical video streaming option which will totally change the experience of live streaming.
Disney+ Hotstar ‘MaxView’ for WC will be an opt-in feature accompanied by a live feed tab, and scorecard. The new added feature will give the viewer some additional services like a single-player frame, allowing users to get a closer glimpse of their favourite star batter or bowler. Apart from that, a split view option will enable the users to experience two different sides of the same game. To note, the features will be available for both Android and iOS devices.

Apart from the above-mentioned features, the app has also been optimized to consume less data. However, the quality of the video won’t be compensated. Hotstar is also using an AI to enhance video clarity. The WC streaming will be available for free. However, the streaming resolution will be limited to 480p, while premium users can enjoy up to 1080p resolution. While the streaming is available on Hotstar, the live broadcast of the matches can be viewed on the Star Sports Network in India.
It must be noted that the tournament will begin on October 5 (Thursday) with the defending champs England taking on New Zealand in the opening match. The first match of the World Cup will be played at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Meanwhile, the home team India will face the mighty Australia both sides opening match of the tournament. That match will be played in Chennai on October 8 (Sunday).
