India to host Women’s World Cup in September, all venues announced for mega event

India had last hosted the Women's World Cup in 2013, where under the captaincy of Mithali Raj, we had won one match.

The tentative month for the Women’s ODI World Cup are out, and the prestigious tournament is scheduled to take place in India in September. As per a report in the Times of India, the opening match along with the opening ceremony will take place in Visakhapatnam, while other venues will be – Mullanpur, Indore Trivandrum, and Guwahati.

IND vs WI Test Schedule Announced

The decision came at the BCCI apex council meet on Saturday, where different matters related to Indian cricket were discussed. Apart from the Women’s ODI World Cup, the India men’s team is scheduled to play home Test series against the West Indies in the first week of October. First Test will be held in Mohali, while the second match will begin in Kolkata from October 14.

India to Play South Africa in November

This would be the first Test in Kolkata in six years, with the last one being the pink ball Test between India and Bangladesh in November 2019. In addition, India will play an all-format series against South Africa from November. Delhi will host the first match, while the second Test will be held in Guwahati, a first for the Baraspara Stadium.

Post that, the action would move to three ODIs vs South Africaa, in Ranchi, Raipur and Vizag, on November 30, December 3 and December 6. Then the five T20Is will be played in Cuttack, Nagpur, Dharamsala, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, with the last one on December 19.
