1. Suzie Bates (New Zealand)

Arguably one of the greatest women’s T20I batters in the world, Suzie Bates is all set to shine in the 2024 World Cup. The New Zealand player, who made her debut in 2009, the first year of the Women’s T20 World Cup, has the most runs in the tournament. The Kiwi has played 165 matches and scored a total of 4,434 runs. In the T20 World Cup, she is also the top scorer, having amassed 1,066 runs in just 36 matches so far.

2. Smriti Mandhana (India)

India’s attacking opener, Smriti Mandhana, rose through the ranks in no time. The 28-year-old batter has played 141 matches and scored 3,493 runs. In the T20 World Cup, she hasn’t enjoyed much success, scoring only 449 runs in 21 matches.

3. Harmanpreet Kaur (India)

Another Indian player, Harmanpreet Kaur, ranks third on this list. She brings a wealth of experience to the team. The middle-order batter has played 173 matches for India and scored 3,426 runs. In the T20 World Cup, she has accumulated 576 runs in 35 matches.

4. Stafanie Taylor (West Indies)

Possibly the most experienced player in T20Is, Caribbean all-rounder Stafanie Taylor has played 121 matches and scored 3,338 runs in T20I cricket. Having made her debut in 2008, she participated in the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup, where she has scored 926 runs in 31 matches throughout the tournament’s history.

5. Chamari Athapaththu (Sri Lanka)

Sri Lankan captain and opener Chamari Athapaththu ranks fifth on this list. The player from South Asia has scored 3,326 runs in 139 matches. In the T20 World Cup, she has recorded 666 runs in 28 matches so far.
