India has only experienced heartbreak in the major ICC competitions. Even in the just concluded Women’s T20 Tri-series that was played in South Africa, the Women in Blue had a tremendous run up until the final, where they were defeated by South Africa.  Harmanpreet Kaur & co made it to the finals of the most last T20 World Cup but were defeated by the mighty Australians. The women in blue will attempt to buck that tendency this time.

Team India is set to begin their campaign on 12th February against Pakistan in Cape Town. But before that, India will play Australia and Bangladesh in warm-up matches on February 06, and 08 respectively. Harmanpreet Kaur’s side is in Group 2 with England, West Indies, Pakistan, and Ireland. The top two teams in each group at the end of the group stage will play in the semi-finals. The final will be held on 26th February 2023 in Cape Town.

India’s squad for ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023: Harmanpreet Kaur (Captain), Smriti Mandhana (Vice-Captain), Shafali Verma, Yastika Bhatia (wk), Richa Ghosh (wk) Jemimah Rodrigues, Harleen Deol, Deepti Sharma, Devika Vaidya, Radha Yadav, Renuka Thakur, Anjali Sarvani, Pooja Vastrakar, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Shikha Pandey
