The Barbados Royals have emerged victorious in the Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) for the second consecutive years, defeating Trinbago Knight Riders, who featured Indian players Jemimah Rodrigues and Shikha Pandey in their starting lineup. The Royals lost six wickets in their chase of a mere 94 runs, and the Knight Riders prevailed in a low scoring final by four wickets.

In its brief existence, the WCPL has already experienced a number of noteworthy events. In 2022, the Trinbago Knight Riders won the first championship, raising the bar for subsequent campaigns. When the Barbados Royals won the next year, they cemented their legacy in the league’s annals.
