Laura Wolvaardt (South Africa)

The classy right-hander was in great touch during the T20 World Cup on home soil as she finished as the leading run-scorer for the tournament with 230 runs at an average of 46.

In total, Wolvaardt collected three half-centuries for the tournament, with the best of those arguably coming in the final against Australia when the 23-year-old kept South Africa in the contest with an assured 61 at the top of the order.

While Wolvaardt’s innings went in vain as Australia clinched the title at Cape Town, it topped off a run of three straight half-centuries for the right-hander that showed she was right at the top of her game.

Nat Sciver-Brunt (England)

The England superstar once again stood up on the big stage as she produced a superb set of results during February and at the T20 World Cup in South Africa.

Sciver-Brunt amassed a total of 216 runs at an average of 72 during the 20-over showcase, but it was the right-hander’s impressive strike rate of 141.17 that really stood out.

That scoring clip was the quickest among the top 25 run-scorers at the T20 World Cup and the fact Sciver-Brunt was only dismissed on three occasions only adds further credit to her performances.

Four of Sciver-Brunt’s scores in South Africa were greater than 40, while the talented all-rounder also picked up a wicket against Pakistan with her more than handy seamers.

Ash Gardner (Australia)

The Australia all-rounder was at her brilliant best for much of February and was a major reason why her side managed to claim a third straight T20 World Cup title.

Gardner not only scored an impressive 110 runs at an average of 36.66 during the tournament, but the 25-year-old also picked up 10 valuable wickets with her off-spin to deservedly win the Player of the Tournament award.

Gardner’s best performance with the ball came against New Zealand when she collected the superb figures of 5/12, while scores of 31 and 29 in the semi-final and final respectively were among her best efforts with the bat.
