The India women’s cricket team faces a major blow after batter Jemimah Rodrigues pulled out of The Hundred with an injury. The Indian batter has suffered a fractured wrist which will see her not compete for Northern Superchargers in the Hundred and also makes her potentially doubtful for the England tour scheduled in September. Gaby Lewis will replace her in The Hundred.

The injury had troubled Jemimah for quite some time since the Commonwealth Games. She injured her wrist in the game against Barbados. Following her batting, she didn’t field and was seen putting ice on her injury. She began her Hundred stint on a powerful note after slamming 51 runs in the opening game.
Jemimah’s injury will be a major blow to the Indian squad. The middle-order batter returned to form with some stunning performances in the Commonwealth Games 2022. Now the main question that arises is whether she will be fit in the upcoming months.
India is scheduled to tour England which begins from 10th September. India will face England in 3 T20I matches and then follow it up with 3 ODI matches.
