With 1st draw of Bazball era, rare Test streak ends for Ben Stokes & Co

In 17 Test matches as captain, Ben Stokes has lost only four Test matches as captain

Bazball: Ashes 2023 – After three thrilling Test matches, the fourth Ashes 2023 Test in Manchester ended in a draw. Rain saved Australia as they retained the Urn with one Test match to go. With a draw, England skipper Ben Stokes’s rare streak has ended. In his 17th Test as captain, this is the first draw in the Brendon McCullum Stokes era Bazball.

Stokes made his Test debut as captain against West Indies in 2020, but the Southpaw’s full-captaincy stint began against New Zealand in 2022. The all-rounder took over from Joe Root and reignited Test cricket by playing an attacking brand of cricket.
