Will Virat Kohli play IND vs ENG 3rd Test? BCCI unclear on superstar’s return

Virat Kohli, who made himself unavailable for the first two IND vs ENG Tests, could miss the third Test as well.

Team India is currently in a precarious situation in the ongoing IND vs ENG Test series. After losing KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja for second Test due to injuries, the Men in Blue could be without their star batter Virat Kohli for the third Test as well.

Notably, Virat Kohli had pulled out of the first two Test matches citing personal reasons. However, according to Times of India (TOI), Kohli’s availability for the remainder of the matches is still not clear.

“We haven’t heard anything from him on his return as yet,” a BCCI official was quoted as saying to TOI.

Coupled with injuries to Jadeja and Rahul, and the unavailability of Virat Kohli, have made India’s comeback charge in Vishakhapatnam even more bleak.

Notably, Team India are trailing 0-1 in the 5-match Test series after suffering a shocking loss in the opening Test at Hyderabad.
