Will Shikhar Dhawan miss entire IPL 2024?

In the ongoing edition of the IPL, Shikhar Dhawan has failed to get going so far. He has now suffered a shoulder injury.

Punjab Kings (PBKS) captain Shikhar Dhawan could be out of action for a week or 10 days after suffering a shoulder injury. The left-handed batter also not took part in the recently completed PBKS vs RR clash. As per PBKS camp, Dhawan is suffering from a shoulder injury. Not only his fitness, but Dhawan seems to be struggling with his form as well.

Is Dhawan out of IPL 2024?

Unfortunately, we missed out on having Shikhar because he has a shoulder injury. So, he’s likely to be out for a couple of days games I would say. Having an experienced opener, somebody like Shikhar, who has experience of playing on such wickets, becomes extremely crucial for the team,” confirmed PBKS Head of Cricket Development, Sanjay Bangar.

If Dhawan sits out for a week then he could miss two PBKS home games of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 matches, against Mumbai Indians (18 April) and against Gujarat Titans (21 April).

As mentioned above, Dhawan hasn’t had the best time with the bat in IPL 2024, scoring 152 runs from five innings at an average of 30.40 and a strike rate of 125.61. However, the left-handed batter holds a lot of experience in IPL and Punjab are expected to miss him atleast for the next two matches.
