With the first Test scheduled to begin on November 22, Rohit Sharma has yet to arrive in Australia. Speculation is rife that he could miss the Perth match and join the squad for the second Test instead.

According to TOI, Rohit Sharma will miss the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, with plans to return for the second Test at Adelaide Oval on December 6.
“Yes, Rohit Sharma will not be featuring in the first Test. He wants to spend some more time with his family and the new-born and the Indian cricket board completely respects his decision,” an official told as TOI quoted.
