The 23-year-old Australian batsman received a blow to his head while facing throwdowns during a practice session on October 5 and is showing concussion symptoms almost after a week. Test debut at the Sydney Cricket Ground against India: Pucovski has a long history of being unfortunate with head injuries and concussions. Before last week’s concussion injury in training, Will was struck by a short delivery from Kartik Tyagi while playing India A at the Drummoyne Oval in Sydney in December 2020. However, he eventually made his long-awaited Test debut at the Sydney Cricket Ground, scoring 62 and 10, before hurting his shoulder on the field that eventually ruled him out of the fourth and final Test.
- In February 2017, Pucovski was hit on the head by the ball as it kicked up from the uneven surface. It was on his 19th birthday
- Pucovski was hit twice between October and November 2017: first from a Ben Cutting short ball in a domestic match against Queensland, and then against Tasmania in a Future’s League Match in November.
- In March 2018, Pucovski was hit on the helmet by Sean Abbott’s bouncer
- In December 2020, Pucovski was hit on the helmet by a Kartik Tyagi delivery while playing for Australia A, eventually being ruled out of the game
