Cricket fans could potentially have another chance to book the 2023 ODI World Cup tickets. This chance arises as BookMyShow, the official ticketing website, has hinted that it may offer fans a better chance to secure their seats. The ticket sales for the tournament began on August 25 and experienced an overwhelming rush, briefly causing technical challenges on the official booking platforms. BookMyShow, in particular, faced some obstacles, leading to disappointment among eager fans who were hoping to secure their seats through the platform.

On Friday, BookMyShow issued an apology to its users following a wave of criticism from fans who experienced disappointment while attempting to purchase the ODI World Cup Tickets over the past few days. The ticketing platform explained that despite millions of users attempting to secure tickets and enduring long queues, only a few were successful due to the limited number of available seats. The platform also reassured fans that it is making every effort to ensure access to the tickets.
BookMyShow posted a tweet that read: “The love for cricket in our country has always been unparalleled and it has been no different these past few days as several million fans logged onto BookMyShow, all at once, to get their hands on limited tickets for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. We understand that not all fans had an easy time, experiencing queues and eventually heartbreak in their attempt to book tickets.
“In a country like India, which is deeply passionate about cricket, the demand is always massive as scores of fans try to book tickets with queues naturally tending to be long. While it is always a race against time to get access to this cricketing extravaganza, we are striving to be able to give you a fighting chance to get access to the tickets.”
