IND vs NZ 2nd Test: Dhruv Jurel filled in for the injured Rishabh Pant in the last concluded IND vs NZ Test match. Rishabh Pant was ruled out of wicket-keeping duties on Day 3 of the match after sustaining a knee injury. Pant left the field after being struck on the right knee during the 37th over of New Zealand’s innings, which resulted in him missing a stumping opportunity against opener Devon Conway.
As play commenced, substitute Dhruv Jurel stepped in to perform wicket-keeping duties alongside captain Rohit Sharma and the rest of the team. After Rishabh Pant’s injury, there were some clouds of uncertainty looming over his participation in the IND vs NZ 2nd Test and Dhruv Jurel replacing him. However, head coach Gautam Gambhir has provided an important update on the same.
