KL Rahul’s wife Athiya Shetty and father-in-law Suniel Shetty shared adorable posts after the right-handed batter reached his 8th Test century in the ongoing IND vs SA 1st Test. Athiya uploaded a picture of KL Rahul celebrating as she wrote ‘Strength to strength’ on her story. Meanwhile, Suniel Shetty shared several heartwarming emojis to express his joy.
Earlier, Suniel Shetty lauded Rahul for his achievements, “When I saw Rahul play, I thought this kid was good, and then he is from my own backyard, he is from Mangalore. I am someone who is very proud of anything that children from small towns achieve, so I was a fan and today I am his father.”
Suniel Shetty also gave his reaction on people trolling KL Rahul, “The faith of the people in him, the selectors, the faith of the captain, it said it all. It hurts me 100 times more than it would hurt Rahul or Athiya.”
On a track where all the batters struggled, KL Rahul was calm and composed as he faced some high-quality bowling from the South African pacers. The right-handed batter achieved his century with a massive six to pacer Gerald Coetzee. KL Rahul also became the first visiting batter to score two hundreds in Centurion. He also joined the likes of Virat Kohli, Thilan Samaraweera, Azhar Mahmood for having two centuries in South Africa as an Asian batter.
