WI vs PAK 1st T20: Match called off due to rain – Follow live updates – The match between West Indies and Pakistan has been called off due to rain. Earlier, Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali took two crucial wickets while giving away just 11 runs in 2 overs to help his side restrict West Indies to 85/5 in 9 overs in a rain-shortened match in the first T20I of the four-match series here at the Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados on Wednesday.

West Indies opening batsman Lendl Simmons was retired hurt as he was hit on the neck by a bouncer. Hasan Ali took the first wicket of Evin Lewis. West Indies kept losing wickets at regular intervals, no batsman could manage to score more than 30 runs. Pollard played a much-needed innings of 22 runs nine balls with the help of a boundary and two maximums.

For visitors, Hasan Ali was the pick of the bowlers while Mohammad Wasim removed Chris Gayle to claim his first-ever wicket in international cricket. Mohammad Hafeez and Usman Qadir also picked one wicket each.
