WI vs AUS: Bad news for Australia, Aaron Finch ruled out of West Indies and Bangladesh series due to knee injury: Australia tour of West Indies: Knee injury concerns continue to ache Australian white-ball skipper Aaron Finch who has not just been ruled out for the remainder series against West Indies but is also unavailable for the upcoming series against Bangladesh. Alex Carey will captain the Australian side in the final ODI in West Indies.

Finch had picked up the injury in his right knee while practising ahead of the T20Is against West Indies. He did feature in the five T20Is for his side but was unavailable in the first two ODI’s as his injury aggravated in the fifth T20I of the series.

WI vs AUS: As per Cricbuzz reports, Finch might need surgery to fix his right knee following which the decision to send him back to Australia was taken. To be extra cautious, the Australian skipper will undergo the surgery, if needed, so that he optimally recovers and returns to the Australian side before the T20 World Cup in October. However, on touching the home country and before undertaking any surgery, Finch will have to serve out 14-day quarantine.

I’m extremely disappointed to be heading home,” Finch said on Sunday (July 25). “This was considered the best course of action rather than travelling to Bangladesh, not being able to play and losing that recovery time. I will have the surgery if required and start the recovery process ahead of the World Cup.
