The UP-born batter might not be far away from a Test chance in the near future. The left-hander has a terrific first-class record. In 42 matches, he has scored 3007 runs at an average of 57.82, including 7 centuries and 19 fifties.
The left-handed batter played a key role in the T20I series in South Africa. The left-handed batter smashed a 39-ball 68 in the second T20I. He chipped in with a handy contribution in the final T20I which India won to level the series 1-1.
