Eden Gardens, which previously held only two matches in the 2011 World Cup, will play a prominent role this time, hosting five matches, including the high-stakes 2nd semi-final. India’s clash with South Africa on 5th November adds to the excitement of this action-packed tournament. Additionally, Pakistan and Bangladesh will compete in two matches each at this prestigious venue, further diversifying the encounters. Notably, Kolkata will be the stage for a thrilling semi-final match.

Why have only CAB (Cricket Association of Bengal) released the World Cup 2023 ticket prices?

The delay in announcement is likely due to the rescheduling of the highly anticipated India vs. Pakistan game. However, all matches taking place at the Eden Gardens Stadium, including the semifinal, will proceed as per the ICC’s original schedule. While other state cricket associations are eager to maximize profits by adjusting prices based on demand, the Cricket Association of Bengal appears to be taking a different approach. They seem unconcerned about potential changes in prices driven by high demand and have not shown any inclination to exploit the situation for financial gain.

As per The Economic Times report, tickets for the ICC World Cup 2023 will soon be available on the official ICC Cricket World Cup website, allowing fans worldwide to pre-book their seats. Additionally, tickets can be purchased from platforms like Bookmyshow, Paytm, and Paytm Insiders. The majority of ticket sales will be conducted online, with limited availability through offline channels. Ticket prices will vary between Rs 500 and Rs 10,000 per ticket, contingent on the venue and the specific match being attended.
