Why Mayank Yadav won’t play in India vs Sri Lanka series?

With six wickets in his first two games of the IPL and two Man of the Match awards, will these achievements grant star pacer Mayank Yadav a ticket to Sri Lanka?

The India squad for the Sri Lanka tour is about to be announced, with the possibility of a few new names who can take Indian cricket forward. Among these names, the standout player currently is Mayank Yadav, the speedster from the Lucknow Super Giants, who has suddenly come into the spotlight due to his pace and effectiveness. In his debut match against the Punjab Kings, he made a significant impact by taking three wickets. Where he dominated distinguished batters such as Jonny Bairstow and Shikhar Dhawan. Also scalped 3 wickets against Royal Challengers Bengaluru as well in the next game.

He won two consecutive Man of the Match awards in the IPL. However, the question remains, with all these performances, will Mayank Yadav get his chance with the Indian cricket team as well?

Mayank Yadav still in rehab!

Yadav, who sustained a side strain during the match against the Mumbai Indians, has now been reported to be fully recovered from the injury. However, the 22 year old pacer is still at the National Cricket Academy and will be there for three to four weeks for rehab, which means he is certainly going to miss the India tour of Sri Lanka.

There has been speculation about his selection for the tour, which is scheduled to start on July 27, where India will play three T20Is and three ODIs. However, looking at the current scenario, it will be difficult to see Yadav participating in this series.
