Team India is currently giving a fightback after losing three wickets early in IND vs SA 1st Test in Centurion. Virat Kohli (33*) and Shreyas Iyer (31*) have steered India to 91/3 at Lunch on Day 1. However, during the first session, a glimpse of batsman Rinku Singh sitting in the dugout left fans puzzled.
Notably, Rinku is not in the Test squad; instead, he is part of the India A squad, which is currently playing the 2nd unofficial Test against South Africa A in Benoni.

Rinku’s presence in the Indian team’s dugout indicates that the management has kept the all-rounder as a backup.
Notably, star-all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja missed out on the first Test due to an injury.
“Ravindra Jadeja complained of upper back spasms on the morning of the match. He was not available for selection for the first Test,” BCCI revealed ahead of the start of the match.
