Delhi Capitals will not be playing with Faf du Plessis in the match against Mumbai Indians at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on April 13. What is the reason for Faf’s absence? Let’s find out.
Why is Faf du Plessis not playing today?
At the toss, Axar Patel revealed that the 40-year-old is sidelined due to an injury. However, the DC captain did not disclose the replacement, stating they would go with the same XI from the previous game and decide on the impact player during the match.
Axar said on the toss, “We’ll bowl first. We’re chasing well, and it’s the first match over here this season so don’t know how the pitch will play. Don’t trust numbers from the past too much. Challenge is to follow the plan properly and to be brave even if you get hit for a six. Faf is injured.”
