Next BCCI secretary
According to India Today, Rohan Jaitley is expected to become the next BCCI secretary, replacing Jay Shah. Currently, Rohan Jaitley is the president of the Delhi cricket board. Apart from Jaitley, the secretary of the Gujarat Cricket Association will compete for the post. To note, there will be no special general meeting called to take the decision.
Speaking more about Jaitley, his journey in cricket administration started in 2020 as he was elected as the President of the DDCA, a position his father held for 14 years. He was re-elected unopposed for a second term, underscoring his acceptance and effectiveness in the role.
Under the guidance of Rohan Jaitley, DDCA saw many improvements, including the successful hosting of five matches of the 2023 World Cup. The Delhi Premier League also saw a great success under his guidance, as several prominent stars played in the inaugural league held earlier this year.
Apart from Jaitley, Roger Binny is set to continue as the president of the BCCI. He will oversee the operations of the board while working closely with the newly elected secretary.
