Who was the IPL 2017 winner?

Australian veteran David Warner won the Orange Cap in the IPL 2017 edition.

IPL 2017: After winning the 2017 IPL, Rohit Sharma added a third IPL title to his cabinet as captain, with the Mumbai Indians defeating the Rising Pune Supergiant in a dramatic final in the 2017 edition. After putting only 129/8 on the board, the MI bowlers, led by Mitchell Johnson (3/26), produced an emphatic performance to hold Steve Smith’s RPS a run short in the title clash. MI were dominant throughout the season, finishing at the top of the table with 20 points. On the other hand, it was a forgettable season for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, as they ended at the bottom with 10 losses.

IPL 2017: Orange Cap winner

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s David Warner was the Orange Cap holder with 641 runs to his name.

IPL 2017: Purple Cap winner

While his teammate David Warner won the Orange Cap, Bhuvneshwar Kumar won the Purple Cap on the second successful occasion, won the Purple Cap, this time with 26 wickets in 14 matches.

IPL 2017: Most sixes award

Maxwell hit 26 sixes in 13 innings. Warner too hit 26 but Maxwell won as he had hit the longest six between the two. The winner got Rs 10 lakh and trophy.

IPL 2017: Fairplay award

GL finished 7th in the Points Table with just 4 wins from 14 matches but were on top of Fair Play standings. They received a trophy.

IPL 2017: Emerging Player award

Basil Thampi of the Gujarat Lions took 11 wickets in 12 matches. (Players born after 1 April 1991, have played 5 or less Tests, 25 or less IPL matches at the start of season and previously not won this award, are eligible.
