Jasprit Bumrah became the fastest bowler from India to reach 200 Test wickets on Sunday during the Boxing Day Test match against Australia in Melbourne for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
After taking four wickets in the first innings, Bumrah reached the milestone on Day 4 of the Test by grabbing his second wicket in Australia’s second innings.

Travis Head was Jasprit Bumrah’s 200th wicket, as he was dismissed after an inside edge that sent the ball crashing into the stumps. This was Bumrah’s fourth wicket in the match, having also dismissed Sam Konstas, Alex Carey, and Mitchell Marsh for his other three wickets.
Bumrah breaks Kapil Dev’s record
Jassi has broken India’s great Kapil Dev’s record. Earlier, Kapil Dev had the record in his name as the fastest Indian pacer to get 200 wickets. He completed the milestone in his 50th match. Now Bumrah has completed the same in his 44th Test.
