Zeeshan Ansari is set to make his debut for Sunrisers Hyderabad against Delhi Capitals on March 30, replacing Simarjeet Singh at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium.

Who is Zeeshan Ansari?

Zeeshan Ansari, born December 16, 1999, is an Indian cricketer. He played his first first-class match for Uttar Pradesh in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy on October 6, 2017. Before making his first-class debut, he was a member of India’s squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He later made his Twenty20 debut for Uttar Pradesh in the 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on February 28, 2019.

Zeeshan Ansari, a 25-year-old spin bowler, represents Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League. He was acquired for INR 40 lakhs in last year’s IPL mega auction.

Though yet to make his IPL debut, Ansari gained attention with his stellar performances in the UP T20 League. Across 12 innings, he picked up 24 wickets with an impressive strike rate of 10 and an economy of 7.63.

Recognizing his remarkable performances, SRH secured him in the auction, offering him a valuable opportunity to prove his talent on a bigger stage.
