Gujarat’s talented batter, Urvil Patel, is making a significant impact in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, scoring two centuries in just six days.
On Tuesday, Urvil Patel delivered another outstanding performance, smashing a century off 36 balls against Uttarakhand in Indore, just six days after recording the fastest T20 hundred by an Indian in 28 balls.
He became the first player to reach two T20 tons in less than 40 balls with this incredible knock, which also marked his second T20 century in a week.
Who is Urvil Patel?
Urvil Patel, a 26-year-old opener from Gujarat who was born in Baroda, made his SMAT debut in 2018. Prior to moving to Gujarat for the 2018–19 season, he also made his List A debut for Baroda in the same year.
His explosive batting has been a constant source of admiration since his debut. He has amassed 1129 runs at a strike rate of 169.01 in his 46-match career, including four fifties and two century.
