Sharfuddoula Saikat is the third umpire for the India vs Australia 4th Test match at the MCG.He was the first umpire from Bangladesh to be included into the Elite Panel of Umpires of the International Cricket Council (ICC). For Bangladesh cricket, his appointment in 2022 was a historic accomplishment.
Saikat has a long history as an umpire, having started his career in 2006 and overseen 10 Test matches, 63 One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and 44 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).
