The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) included a new name in the mix in their IPL 2024 clash against the Delhi Capitals (DC). The new bloke in Angkrish Raghuvanshi startled every one after showcasing himself on the grandest stage.
Coming out to bat at No. 3, Raghuvanshi didn’t bog down by the big occasion and looked extremely calm at the crease. While Sunil Narine kept hammering blows at one end, the KKR youngster complemented his senior with some incredible hitting.
Raghuvanshi clubbed some fine blows, including a reverse scoop. He hit five boundaries and three lusty maximums en route to his 27-ball 54.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi won the U-19 World Cup for India in 2022
The youngster, who was born in Delhi, won the U-19 50-over World Cup for India in 2022. The tournament, which was held in the West Indies, saw Raghuvanshi accumulate 278 runs at an impressive average of 46.33. He was the highest run-getter for the Men in Blue in the tournament.
Raghuvanshi was 11-year-old when he moved to Mumbai. He made his List-A and T20 debut for Mumbai last year before getting bought for INR 20 lac by Kolkata Knight Riders franchise ahead of the IPL 2024 season.
