Andhra Pradesh all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy is gearing up for IND vs AUS Test series and is expected to fulfill the same role that Hardik Pandya had in the Test side. The youngster has been named in the squad for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy with the selectors keeping in mind that he could come of valuable use as a back-up bowler. Recently, Nitish Reddy got to spend some time with veteran all-rounder Hardik Pandya and received some valuable inputs from him.

As per Hindustan Times, Nitish Reddy said that he was always backed by Hardik Pandya on the field and went on to reveal how the latter assisted him in bowling. The AP all-rounder said Pandya taught him to bluff batters with yorkers and slow deliveries, and that it paid off. He added that he was given constant inputs by Pandya.
“In matches, he was always backing me. When I was bowling, he came to mid-off and was explaining how to bowl on these kinds of wickets. How you need to bowl to a particular batter. He came and he told me to bowl wider, wide slow ones that really worked in that match. He told me to bluff batters with Yorkers and slower ones that really worked,” Nitish Kumar Reddy said.
