They revealed plans to release an additional 400,000 tickets for sale. These extra tickets will become available starting at 8 AM (IST) on September 8. The ICC announced the ticket sale schedule for all World Cup warm-up and league matches, including both India and non-India matches. The sale occured from August 25 to September 3, and the process was organized in phases by the governing body.
However, fans expressed significant disappointment with the ticket-buying experience, and social media platforms were inundated with posts directed at the BCCI, which had partnered with BookMyShow for ticket sales in India.
Some fans also claimed that there were fewer tickets available for high-profile matches like the India vs. Pakistan clash scheduled for October 14 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, especially when compared to the stadium’s total seating capacity.
