After his game-winning performance against Pakistan in a group-league match of the ongoing T20 World Cup in New York on Sunday Indian pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah was interviewed by his wife Sanjana Ganesan. Sanjana was at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium to cover the match on behalf of ICC Digital. The duo shared a cute moment when Bumrah ended the interview with the promise of seeing her in ’30 minutes’. Sanjana was equally sporting, replying with a question about the food on offer for dinner.

Jasprit Bumrah, Sanjana Ganesan engage in banter

While Bumrah and the other bowlers exploited the challenging surface in New York to defend a meager 120-run target, the husband and wife team primarily spoke about the Pakistan match.

Once the interview was over, Sanjana thanked Bumrah and said “See you soon.” To which Bumrah replied, “See you in 30 minutes.” Sanjana couldn’t resist a smile at the remark, and came up with the question, “What’s for dinner?”

India hold on to nerves

India overcame a tricky match thanks to some wonderful bowling by the Indian bowling unit. After being dismissed for a paltry 119 runs, Bumrah and co kept the pressure on the Pakistan batters. They took wickets at crucial junctures to ensure Pakistan were restricted to 113.
