Just 2 days remain before the India Cricket Team takes on Australia for the IND vs AUS Pink Ball Test in Adelaide. The visitors will now go on to play yet another Pink Ball Test. And this will be against Australia, the same opponent at the same venue where 4 years ago India were humiliated at 36-all out.
And now ahead of the Pink Ball Test between IND vs AUS, Cheteshwar Pujara has come on to disclose details about the horror defeat against the formidable opponents. “We were in the game in the first innings. It’s the second innings, in the one and half hours where we lost all the wickets,” Cheteshwar Pujara told ESPNCricInfo.
‘No time to Chat’- claims Pujara
“That was the time when we didn’t bat well, and they bowled well. Whatever were doing, we were not doing it right. It was a tough day of cricket and I hope it doesn’t repeat. There wasn’t even enough time for us to chat and reflect on it,” Pujara added.
Ace batter Pujara went on to explain that there wasn’t enough time to chat or reflect on how things were proceeding. He claimed that within that one and a half-hours, all the wickets were lost.
“We needed 24-48 hours to come out of it. But the good thing is we had a lovely team dinner where no one spoke about cricket. We had fun, were together, and stayed together. And then on the next day, we had our practice session when we finally spoke about the game,” Pujara concluded.
Cheteshwar Pujara went on to explain how the team stood together. He said that the team enjoyed the present, not thinking about the past or future. And then from the next day in practice, the team switched on and that eventually helped India win the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
