The group stage of the Cricket World Cup is done and dusted. India finished the league stage undefeated with 9 wins and will play New Zealand in semi-final 1 at Wankhede Stadium on November 15. Meanwhile, South Africa, who finished second on points table, will face Australia in semi-final 2 at Eden Gardens on November 16. While Indian fans are eagerly waiting to see Men in Blue in action on Wednesday, many are concerned about the weather. And whether rain will play a spoilsport in the game?

While the weather is predicted to be good for the big semi-final clash, fans are curious what will happen if rain washes out the game.

What if rains washes out IND vs NZ?

In case weather takes a drastic turn in the IND vs NZ World Cup semi-final, the sides will get a chance to complete the game on the reserve day just like it happened in 2019 World Cup.

However, if rain prevents the match on the reserve day as well, the team that finishes higher on the points table in group stage will proceed to the final. This means, Team India will proceed to the final as they finished on top in the World Cup points table.

Likewise, if the AUS vs SA semi-final 2 results in a washout, South Africa will advance to final for finishing second on the points table.
