The final four teams of the Cricket World Cup has been decided. India, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand are the four teams who have qualified for the World Cup semi-final. While India will face New Zealand in semi-final 1 at Wankhede Stadium on November 15, Australia will play South Africa in semi-final 2 at Eden Gardens on November 16. However, rain is set to play a spoilsport in the AUS vs SA semi-final 2 in Kolkata.
What if rains washes out the game?
If the rain washes out the AUS vs SA semi-final on November 16, the sides will get a chance to complete the game on the reserve day on November 17.
But what will happen if the rain washes out the reserve day as well? In that case, the team that finishes higher on the points table in group stage will proceed to the final. This means, South Africa will proceed to the final as they finished second on the points table.
