What is the timeline of Day 2 of IPL 2025 Mega Auction?

IPL 2025 Auction Day 2 will continue in Jeddah on 25th November for the conclusion phase of the auction

After a hectic Day 1, it is now Day 2 of the IPL 2025 Mega Auction. The second day of the IPL 2025 Auction will see a total of 493 players going under the hammer. The auction will continue from where it was left behind. More importantly, towards the latter part of the day, the accelerated auction and the unsold auction will take place before concluding.

The IPL 2025 Mega Auction will continue in Jeddah for the second and final day of the auction. The auction will resume at 3:30 PM IST. Day 2 will begin with Set 13 with the Capped Batters. Following Set 15 which is the wicket-keeper’s category, there will be a short break.

IPL 2025 Mega Auction: Timeline

The IPL Auction will resume with Set 13 and conclude with Set 17 where a total of 32 players will be going under the hammer. Once this capped category is done, then the focus will shift towards the Accelerated part of the Auction.

With budgets still remaining, the teams will be eager to complete their buying spree as early as possible. Towards the end of the Auction, the unsold players will go under the hammer.

After Set 17 there will be a Lunch. Once the accelerated auction resumes there will be short breaks once the initial part ends.

What is an Accelerated Auction?

Players marked from 117 to 577 will be a part of the accelerated auction. This is a special part of the auction where the 10 franchise teams are asked to select a total of 25 players whom they want to appear in the auction. And once the list is done, this fast-tracked part of the auction resumes.

Once this part ends, then teams are further requested to add 5 players to help in completing their squad. And lastly, comes the players from the unsold part who will be shortlisted by the teams.
