The former CSK skipper confirmed that he is looking forward to continue playing, making it clear that we will return to CSK as an uncapped retention. CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan, who had earlier said he was waiting to hear from Dhoni on hi future, expressed happiness over Thala’s decision.

With each passing year, speculations of MS Dhoni hanging up his boots in the IPL gained momentum. However, fans suspected Thala to leave for good this time, considering that he was at the fag end of his career while teams were looking to start afresh starting with the IPL 2025 auction. Dhoni decided to treat the CSK fans for one more season by confirming his participation in IPL 2025.
“When he is ready, what else (do) we want. We are happy,” franchise CEO Kasi Viswanathan told Cricbuzz on Saturday.

“I just want to enjoy whatever last few years of cricket I am able to play. When you play cricket like a professional sport, it becomes difficult to enjoy it just like a game. That’s what I want to do. It’s not easy. The emotions keep coming, the commitments are there. I want to enjoy the game for the next few years,” said Dhoni.
Dhoni claimed that he wants to enjoy the last few years left as he ends the twilight of his career. On the other hand, he explains that he understands the emotions while claiming that cricket as a professional sport is extremely difficult. But as things stand, he is in no way ready to quit.
