Musheer Khan is on a century-making spree in the U19 World Cup 2024. Earlier today, the right-handed batter, who is the brother of domestic giant Sarfaraz Khan, notched up his second hundred of the tournament. Musheer scored a career-best 131 to take India U19 to set a mammoth target (296) for New Zealand.
His 131-run knock left fans and even fellow cricketers flabbergasted. The biggest name to react to Musheer Khan’s masterclass was fellow Mumbaiker and world’s No. 1 T20I batter, Suryakumar Yadav.
Suryakumar took to Instagram to congratulate Musheer Khan and the India U19 team for their splendid effort in the India vs New Zealand U19 match. Posting a couple of images of Musheer, Surya wrote, ‘What a knock. Happy dugout. Keep going Boyzz.’
Coming into the match, India U19 scored 295 runs in their first inning to set the Kiwis a target of 296 in their first Super Six match. If India manages to win their match, they’ll remain at the top of the Super Six Group I points table and visually confirm their spot in the semifinals.
